These are our OVC in their educational centre in Nairobi- Kenya.

The Nairobi slums ministry of Life Line Children Centre, is meant for supporting the orphans and vulnerable children in Nairobi's slum area of Mathare North area 3 which carries a capacity of over 800,000 vulnerable children alone in Nairobi province. 

Most of the children we support are AIDS orphans, many come from one-parent families and some come as "Street children", abandoned and abused, with so many needs such as Poverty, illiteracy, neglect, emotional scars and poor health.

We are providing long-term care as required by the National Plan Action [ NPA] for these children right from their home where they live with their guardians while taking full responsibility for those without even guardians to listen to, raising them to be responsible members in their communities.

The future of these children is our heart beat... And just telling these poor kids, ... "God loves you", may not make sense to them until we show them God's love with a hot meal in a plate, change of clothes, safe place to sleep, offering a listening ear to them, and a warm hand on a trembling shoulder and of course above all giving them a chance to a fully developed future through educational training.

 This centre begun in the year 2005, only with 14 orphans and vulnerable children. Today the centre carries over 139 children, who are at home based cares with guardians who are promoted with food stuffs, cloths, medication by the Life Line Children Centre inorder for them to accept the responsibility to stay with our orphans and vulnerable children.

Kenya experienced very tough times after the December general elections of 2007. The chaos erupted in the country,many people died and it also saw many parents dying and living children either with one parent or both parents died.

 This multiplied the number of orphans and vulnerable children in the Nairobi's slums.

 We feel that God has called the church to serve dynamicaly in the side of providing spiritual diet to all people and also pysical diet to the less privilleged just as God leads us.
